We are multi-national family (Dutch/Dominican).  We have been involved with the 'God is love' orphanage on a weekly basis for almost 8 months during 2012/13. It was a God directed connection which has grown into a great friendship with Pastor Michael, his wife Michaela and the children of the orphanage.

Even though they always tell us that we are a great blessing to them, it always feels the opposite!  Having visited and worked with other orphanages, the thing that is outstanding in our experience, is that the children are so well behaved! And the fact that there is an endless commitment from Pastor Michael and his wife Michaela to do as much as they can. It is not an easy task but the faith they have in GOD is vital in the way they run the orphanage!
It has been a privilige for us to see the life of this great family and it has been awesome to see the thankful smiles on their faces when we turn up for the weekly program.  There are great needs to be fullfilled and it has been great to see some of them come to pass.

May I invite you to participate with us to make a difference in the lives of these beautiful children who did not choose the life they live but they have a safe haven.

This is child no. 2
When she came to us she had been left to die and we lovingly restored her to health and now she is a beautiful young girl and enjoying life.

My son and I have been visiting the God is Love orphanage for 8 months during 2012/13.  What can I say, this is a home filled with love, warmth and fun.  Michael and Michaela have opened their hearts in an enormous way providing a home for these beautiful children and the sacrifices they make have not gone unnoticed whether it's finding donations for food, raising the house rent, helping others and providing a school for those who can not afford to pay usual school fees.  We went thinking we would bless them with our visits, we left with our lives full as we received their love.

If you are ever in Conakry please look them up, you will come away a different person and they will stay in your heart forever.
